Our education ministry is focused on helping people connect, grow, and serve. Education is not an end in itself, but a means to exalt Jesus and be energized in His service. Our bible study groups are not to impart knowledge but to impact LIFE! Four principles define our educational ministry.

Love God: All small groups are based upon helping you obey Jesus’ greatest command in Matthew 22:37. Our priority will always be on loving, worshipping, and praising God.
Involve yourself in a small group: Jesus wants us to connect with others and grow together in our walk with Him. He wants us to learn how to love others. To fully enter into all that Christ has for us, we need to be actively involved with growing and learning together. Christianity is a “one another” religion. To fully practice the “one another” passages in God’s Word, we must be a faithful part of a small group.
Focus on serving: There are lots of places to serve in our educational ministry. You can lead a small group, be a prayer partner, host fellowships, call or visit the sick, host an outreach event, and more. Come and find out where you best fit.
Evangelistic Lifestyle: All of our small groups desire to reach others and grow. We encourage you to be an influence for Christ in your job, neighborhood, friends, and family. Also, we want you to invest your prayers, time, and energy into others by meeting needs or just being “Jesus with skin on” to those around you. Finally, we hope you will invite those in your circle of influence to come to church or to come to Jesus through a salvation experience. This is what evangelism is about~ it’s more than a program; it’s a lifestyle!

Sunday mornings are alive at 8:45 am. Adult LIFE groups meet then! Men and women are being refreshed, encouraged and spiritually developed as they meet in small groups. In these small group settings, you will learn what the Bible says, and discover ways to apply the lessons to your life. As you connect with others, you will build a support network to help you in your spiritual journey. You will be encouraged to develop a growing intimacy with Christ; challenged to live a life of spiritual integrity, impassioned to be an infectious influence for Jesus Christ, and energized to serve others in the church and community. There are groups to fit every age and stage and we invite you to visit and find a group that meets your needs.

Wednesdays at The River offer another venue for connection and Christian growth through WOW (Worship on Wednesdays) classes. These are Bible studies that are Biblically based and cover specific topics. Many are based on books by Christian authors and include workbooks and study guides. The classes generally last from 6-12 weeks. This is an opportunity to get a mid-week spiritual boost as you connect and study God’s Word. Come and be wowed.
