Can’t I connect and grow through the Worship services?
You can, but we are a large congregation and this makes it more difficult to develop close relationships and spiritual support groups. Small groups offer the opportunity to connect, interact and discuss God’s Word in a deeper way and apply it in real life situations as you share with others in your group.
Do I have to go in with my age group?
No. You may go to any small group. We encourage you to visit several to see which one fits you best. We have gender groups and coed groups.
How will I know where to go?
We have greeters inside each door to direct or escort you to the small group of your choice. If you are unsure of which group to visit, they will suggest one that you might enjoy.
Can my husband and I attend class together?
Yes. We offer several small groups for couples as well as gender groups. We have groups to fit every age and stage.
Will I be asked to read, answer questions, or pray aloud?
No. You will never be put on the spot or be made to feel uncomfortable. You may participate at your own level of comfort, but never obligated to contribute.
What do I bring?
Bring a Bible if you have one. If not, that’s okay; we have extras. You will be given a Bible study book when you come to help you follow along in the discussion. Scriptures are included in the book.
Will I be asked to give money?
No. Our guests are never expected to contribute. Our members support the church with their tithes and offerings. You certainly may give an offering in the worship service if you desire, but this is never expected or suggested.
Will people from the small group call or visit me?
Each group cares for its members and guests, so you will receive a card, call, or email. Visits are not made unannounced. If you do not wish to be contacted, tell the group leader and your wishes will be honored.
