Flint River Baptist Church is such an exciting place to worship!

When we say “There’s Life at the River”, it is more than a slogan; it is the very heartbeat of what we do in and through the Music Ministry.

Here at Flint River Baptist Church , our purpose for the music ministry is very simple.
        1.   To worship Christ in joyous celebration.
        2.   To worship Christ IN TRUTH AND IN SPIRIT.
        3.   To worship Christ in a manner fitting for the King of kings and Lord of lords that encourages others to a               deeper level of faithfulness and commitment.
        4.   To worship Christ in such a way that prepares God’s people for the preached Word… we know that our               well-blended worship services minister to that end!

Our desire is to live daily in the presence of the One who gave us LIFE and called us to be salt and light. What we do on Sundays is from the overflow of living in God’s grace throughout the previous week.  As you worship with us, we’re sure you will notice a difference!

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

CELEBRATION CHOIR - The Celebration Choir is a group of faithful believers, called by God with a heart and passion for music, leading “the church” in praise and worship.  We sing in both Sunday morning and Sunday evening worship services utilizing our soloists, both praise teams, the Flint River quartet and trio and our very gifted instrumentalists.  Our music style is contemporary but designed to touch and minister to every person, regardless of age. The Celebration Choir is a non-auditioned group and is a vital part of the overall ministry here at FRBC.

PRAISE TEAM - We have two different praise teams.  They are both auditioned groups of vocalists who help lead our church from Sunday to Sunday.  Each team leads for a month then rejoins the choir until their next assignment.  Each praise team member is a faithful part of the overall ministry of FRBC and, accordingly, realizes a higher level of accountability.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC MINISTRY - Our instrumentalists are a group of auditioned musicians who provide the music for all of our worship services.  All instrumentalists must be proficient with their instrument and must be able to sight-read music and/or read chord charts. They are a godly group of people and our church loves to hear them play for His glory. This rhythm section is comprised of: Drums (trap), Bass Guitar, Electric, Acoustic and Classical Guitars, two Keyboards, Grand Piano and Congas. For an audition, contact the music office.

CHILDREN’S MUSIC MINISTRY - Denise Panter, Children’s Choir Director: “Children are like soft clay ready to be molded.  They are easily led and always eager to learn.  What we teach them will become the very foundation of their lives.” Flint River is committed to introducing the significance of music and worship to our children. The FRBC children’s music ministry is designed to lead our children to a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. As they grow, so will their walk with Him and their love of praise and worship.  This is where it starts!  We truly hope to see every one of our precious children grow up to sing the praises of our God.  He is worthy and deserves their song too!

PRESCHOOL CHOIR MINISTRY - Kim Merchant, Preschool Choir Director: “Our preschool choir ministry is committed to giving preschoolers the opportunity to worship and praise our Lord.  It is our hope that while learning scripture songs and ringing bells to great choruses and hymns, we can build a spiritual foundation for a future relationship with Jesus.” When your child comes to choir, you can be assured that we will do everything in our power to make it a positive, Christ-centered experience. Parents, let's partner together and raise up a new generation of worship leaders for the glory of God!
