What is the Preschool Ministry?
Preschool is the ministry for newborns to kindergarten age children. These children are in a safe, clean, loving environment while their parents attend LIFE Group Sunday School and Worship. While the child attends Preschool, they will be taught Bible stories, Bible songs, and Bible values to help them discover the love that Jesus has for them.
Who attends?
Infants through Kindergarten age children.
What is my child taught?
We use a curriculum called HeartShapers. It helps the youngest children build positive attitudes and relationships in the church, and it helps growing children learn Bible stories, verses, values, and skills to shape their hearts for Jesus Christ. The heart is used in the Bible to mean the center of a person’s spirit, from which flows emotions, thoughts, motivations, courage, and action. On Sunday mornings, we want to shape kids’ hearts so that their emotions, thoughts, motivations, and actions are directed by Jesus.
Do you have a security system?
Each child has a security band that is placed on their wrist or ankle. Parents are issued a security tag with an identification number matching their child’s ID. These security tags are presented when their child is picked up from the preschool area. Those who are visiting should obtain a visitors bracelet and tag from the Preschool Welcome Desk. This ID number will flash on the monitors at the front of the worship center should a situation arise that would require the parent to return to the preschool area. No one is allowed in the Preschool area without a badge.
• We have security cameras in all of the classrooms with a monitoring station in the Preschool area for parent viewing.
Who will be teaching & caring for my child?
At least two volunteer teachers are in each classroom to make sure the children are safe and well cared for. FRBC Preschool teachers teach the HeartShaper truths from God's Word.
What programs do you offer to my Preschooler?
Puddle Jumpers Sunday School and Worship : Sunday, 8:45-11:30 am
Preschool Childcare/HeartShapers Lesson Sunday Evenings, 6:00-7:15 pm
AWANA Cubbies: 3 and 4 year olds: Wednesday Evenings, 6:15 pm
MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers) 9:30-11:30 am on the third Thursday of each month
What is the AWANA program?
AWANA meet Wednesday Evening at 6:15 pm . The AWANA club for preschoolers, Cubbies, is for 3 and 4 year old children. It is built on two principles:
- Young children can and should receive spiritual training
- Home is the primary place for spiritual training
Our Cubbies program meets these needs through…FUN…lots of it! Cubbies is fun with a purpose--to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience when fun and learning go hand in hand. The games, stories and activities in Cubbies center around helping children understand the truth of God’s ultimate gift. This good news (which is what “gospel” means) is the reason AWANA exists.
