Worship at The River
We believe that everyone in the church should be involved in worship. So, whether your interest lies in the choir, the praise team, instrumental music or just singing to Jesus with all your heart from the congregation, worship is for you!
Jesus seeks out those who worship in spirit and in truth. We believe if worship becomes a lifestyle and not just something we do on Sundays, then we will discover the abundant life God has for us.
Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir is a group of faithful believers, called by God with a heart and passion for music, to lead the church in praise and worship. Our music style is contemporary but designed to touch and minister to every person, regardless of age. The Celebration Choir is a non-auditioned group and is a vital part of the overall ministry here at The River. The Choir leads praise and worship in the 10:30am worship service and meets on Sunday afternoon at 5:00pm for rehearsal.
Praise Team
The Praise Team ministry is made up of vocalists who are members of the Flint River’s Celebration Choir. This team leads worship in the 9:00am service and 6:00pm service, as well as singing with the Celebration Choir in the 10:30am service. This group of musicians is excited about worshiping Jesus and does their best to lift up His name so that others are drawn to an awesome God. For an audition, contact the music office.
Instrumental Musicians
Our instrumentalists are a group of auditioned musicians who provide the music for all of our worship services. All instrumentalists must be proficient with their instrument and must be able to sight-read music and/or read chord charts. They are a godly group of people and our church loves to hear them play for His glory. This rhythm section is comprised of: Drums (trap), Bass Guitar, Electric, Acoustic and Classical Guitars, two Keyboards, Grand Piano and Congas. For an audition, contact the music office.
River Kids Alive!
A praise and worship experience for children in grades 1 - 5. River Kids Alive combines children's choir, sign language, praise, and relevant teaching from God's Word. They meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm in Room 302.
Preschool Choir
It is our hope that while learning scripture songs and ringing bells to great choruses and hymns, we can build a spiritual foundation for a future relationship with Jesus. When your child comes to choir, you can be assured that we will do everything in our power to make it a positive, Christ-centered experience. Parents, let's partner together and raise up a new generation of worship leaders for the glory of God! Preschool Choir meets in the Puddle Jumpers room at 11:00am on Sundays.
